This application is for a Ukrainian family who arrives December 6. Because the date is after the deadline to apply, we are applying for the family. We know that they will be overwhelmed by this change, but so thankful to be here with an opportunity to be safe and rebuild. If they had the chance to write the thank you, I know they would express their gratitude for your help and your welcome to a new life.
They will arrive with very little, and they will have a furnished apartment with basic items. They will have coats, but hats and mittens, scarves and gloves for parents are needed. Anything that you can provide to make this a memorable first Christmas would be appreciated. Any items that would appeal to a 13-year old girl, a 3-year old girl, and mom and dad would be so welcome. A card or note welcoming them to our country from the ravages of war would be so nice. A gift card for food (Pick n Save), gift cards to goodwill or st Vincents or Next Generation are also great.
