About the family

My college freshman daughter and I live with three under 18… and our little dog toooo (sorry for the dramatic Oz slip—blame Wicked premiere season!).

We’re a house full of females of all ages, with one male dog who’s convinced the whole place runs for his convenience. Our “little dog too,” even though the big furry thing is anything but little. I use a wheelchair, so we’ve had plenty of practice turning everyday chaos into something manageable with a mix of humor, patience, and frequent deep breaths. We’re far from perfect, we’re just a busy, noisy, supportive bunch of girls trying to make things work with humor, patience, and the occasional dog hair tumbleweed drifting by! We love Wicked and anytime anyone of us is having a rough go of it, we remind each other of our favorite quote from the book Wicked, written by Gregory Maguire: “Remember this: Nothing is written in the stars. Not these stars, nor any others. No one controls your destiny.” We choose our destiny. We make our choices. We choose what our today and tomorrow’s looks like.

Fabric markers, puffy paint, paint markers, Loves arts and crafts, reading, candles, has been saving up for a nintendo switch 2 for over a year and hoping to able to get one after this Christmas. Really great student and excels academically so excited to help her get this switch. She is not good at just relaxing her brain… Love teal and black for colors.
