About the family
Our kids want for nothing and I fear that’s what we give them.
To be honest. We’d give up all the gifts for an experience for the kids in the Dells or the Milwaukee zoo or something simple and local. My kids really do want for not. We try to do little things for them here and there, like picking up their favorite snacks, occasionally McDonalds etc. But we don’t have the means to give them experiences and memories and whatever silly little thing they may ask for in the moment. And they never hold that against us. They think we’re wonderful parents and they’re happy with their lives. These last few months have been an even bigger struggle since my husband lost his job. He’s been looking, but he’s not had any luck. Hopefully that will change soon. So the little we can give them has felt like so much less. It’s hard to ask what to get for them because I don’t know what I will get them. I just know they deserve so much more than I can offer them and I’m so grateful for anything. Thank you!
