About the family
This year has been especially challenging for our family as we’ve taken in two additional kids while managing on one income, and we’re hoping to make the holidays special for all the kids despite the hardships.
My boyfriend and I live with our 2 kids and recently received guardianship of his 2 teenage nieces. We have 1 dog and 1 cat. The 2 teenage nieces recently lost their grandfather who was their everything. The girls had to move out of their “home” that they were at all their life and move in with my boyfriend and I and 2 kids. It has been such a big change on them, they have not had an “easy” life, with their mother not in their life and no relationship with their father. I want to be able to give the girls and my kids the best Christmas, as I know it is going to be a hard one since it’s the first one since grandpa passed away, it is going to be hard on everyone but especially the 2 teenagers. Our family loves to be outside on the lake fishing, playing games, building and crafting together.
