Additional Information
Just wanted to take this extra space to thank you again. We’re still rebuilding from our losses but we have faith always.. you are apart of that faith.
Thank You
Dear Host,
I wish I knew your name to thank you, truly personally.
To my family; your generosity makes our holiday truly blessed.
As a single mother, I have endured a lot, but my blessings came in the form of my beautiful children. Our love and bond is the most important thing to us all.
Life wasn’t always so hard, but sometimes God has to give us battles for us to know our strength. A few years ago we lost my niece whom I was raising, to a drunk driver car accident. She’s was weeks away from the 16th birthday we had been planning. She was like a sister to my girls, and a daughter to me. She had been with us in our home for 6 years at the time. It devastated us, and rocked our foundation hard. Weeks later I lost my job of 4 years due to Covid, And depression, and my car was repossessed. It seemed like we were in hole with no out. We had lost so much and didn’t know how to get through it. That was the first time we reached out to host a family. We were late in our submission… but someone found it in our heart to take our family in. They were a Ray of light in a dark place for us.
Through prayer, faith, each other, and amazing community members and families like you, I was able to get a better job to give more to my babies, and to catch up on our bills. Through programs like host a family… I was able to give them hope.
That is what host a family does for us above all else. It gives us hope to look to tomorrow. Hope to hang in there for better days ahead. Hope that we are loved and not forgotten… and faith that we will be alright.
With my last bit of this letter I want to wish you the happiest of holidays from my family, with love… to yours. I want to tell you that my family loves you, and appreciates the work God put in your heart to do.
Thank you again, God bless, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! ❤️
